Urgent calls, flagged by your rules
You decide what counts as urgent. Picking Roofing during setup fills in the first two; for other businesses you write your own, for example:

Calls that match get URGENT at the start of the email subject. Estimates, recurring service, seasonal work and general questions come through as routine messages. For life-safety emergencies, callers are told to call 911.
Set it up for the work you do
During setup you list the services you offer and don't offer, your service area and hours. The assistant answers simple questions from that and takes a message for everything else.

Broken springs, openers and new-door quotes.

Washers, dryers, refrigerators and ranges, with the make and problem in the message.

Questions
Will it quote prices or promise a time?
No. It only answers questions your business profile covers (like your hours, service area and the services you do and don't offer). It never makes up prices, availability or arrival times, and never promises that someone is on the way.
Does it book appointments?
No, it takes messages. It doesn't book appointments, check your calendar, transfer calls or dispatch anyone. It tells callers the team will follow up, and emails you the message so you can call them back.
Do I need a new phone number or to switch carriers?
No. You keep your existing business number and carrier. We assign your business its own dedicated Stratiphone forwarding number, and you turn on “forward when busy or unanswered” so Stratiphone only answers the calls you miss. Nothing is ported.
How does the 7-day trial work?
Both plans start with a 7-day trial (card required, 30 minutes included) and your own dedicated forwarding number. $0 is charged at checkout, and the 7 days start when your number goes live. Your chosen plan ($79/mo Starter with 150 min or $149/mo Pro with 400 min) bills automatically when the 7 days end unless you cancel first. On an active paid plan, minutes past your included minutes are 25¢/minute.
Can it text me about calls?
Coming soon. Yes, if you want. Text alerts arrive after each call with the caller’s name, a tap-to-call-back number, a short summary and a private link to the full message (the link works for 30 days). They’re included in Pro and during the trial on both plans; on Starter they’re a $9/mo add-on. Turn them on from your setup page by verifying your mobile number with a texted code, and reply STOP any time to stop them. Msg & data rates may apply. Email alerts continue either way.
Is it for medical or dental offices?
No. Stratiphone is not HIPAA compliant and can't be used for health information. We don't sign business associate agreements, and our Terms don't allow healthcare providers to use it.
